Purchasing postage
Jersey Post uses a pricing structure called Size-based Pricing to calculate the cost of postage. Before purchasing your postage, you may wish to find out more about this system and how it works. Please click here for further Size-based Pricing information.
Once you are familiar with how postage is calculated, there are several convenient methods of purchasing postage for items being sent locally, nationally or internationally.
Stamps and post offices
You can purchase stamps of any value, and for any destination, and post letters at any of our island-wide post offices. For a map of these offices, their opening times and services, please click here. Please note that you can only use Jersey Post stamps in Jersey - UK stamps or stamps from the Bailiwick of Guernsey are not accepted.
Shops and supermarkets
Stamps for letters or small items (that do not exceed 100g in weight), being sent locally, to the UK and other Channel Islands, can also be purchased at a large number of supermarkets, specialist shops (e.g. card shops), garages and convenience stores.
Post & Pay kiosks
At Broad Street, Rue des Pres and the Central Market post offices, and at the Jersey Electricity Company at Queen's Road, you can save yourself time by using our quick and convenient Post & Pay kiosk. The kiosks enable you to weigh, post and pay for postage of letters, packets or parcels to any worldwide destination. For your convenience, our Post & Pay kiosks accept cash, credit and debit cards.
Next day delivery and signed for services
Jersey Post offers a range of next day delivery and 'signed for services' which are ideal for important items, items of value or items that need to arrive by a specified time and date. Please click here for more information on these services.
Courier services
In partnership with global delivery agent FedEx, we are able to offer an express, door-to-door courier service for documents and dutiable items to over 214 countries worldwide. Please click here for more information.
Compensation for undelivered items
