Philatelic Bureau

In 1969, Jersey Post became an independent postal operator. With the advent of Jersey Post's own stamp issues inevitably came the growth of a customer base requiring specific attention. The number of annual stamp issues grew from 4 or 5 until the 1980s, after which time it gradually grew to the 12 or 13 that we see in current times.

Today, the Philatelic Bureau consists of a team dedicated to fulfilling the orders of stamp collectors worldwide and assisting customers with any queries that they may have. With delicacy and precision, large quantities of stamps, presentation packs, and First Day Cover envelopes, for example, are prepared and despatched to order. The Bureau is also responsible for issuing promotional material to a large customer database as well as managing the supplies required by the various international distributors who act on behalf of Jersey Post's Philatelic Department around the world.
