Postal Business

Postal Business

The core of the Jersey Post Group, the postal business, is probably more widely recognised as Jersey Post. Jersey Post has come a long way since the first postmaster was appointed in 1745 and today, Jersey Post has two branches to it – the post office network branch (Retail) and the collection and delivery branch (Postal Services). The Managing Director is Ian Carr.

Jersey Post - Retail
The Retail division of Jersey Post operates a network of 22 crown and sub post offices across the island. These offices can be found in a range of convenient locations and are often housed within a partner outlet such as the Channel Island Cooperative Society, Spar or Sandpiper. In response to increasing customer demands and market trends, the retail network has evolved significantly over recent years and now offers a much wider variety of services than simply postage. Foreign exchange, MoneyGram, States of Jersey housing and pension payments, Lloyds TSB and Barclays banking and utility bill payments are now all offered over Jersey Post Counters, making a trip to the post office a convenient one-stop shop. There are now convenient and easy to use, automated Post & Pay kiosks at Broad Street, Rue des Pres and Central Market post offices.

Jersey Post - Postal Services
Postal Services incorporates the collection and delivery elements of our service for both residential and business customers. This service is run under a licence granted by the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority and is often referred to as the ‘Universal Service Obligation’.
