Size-based Pricing - stamps
On 8 May 2010, Jersey Post introduced Size-based Pricing (SBP) which means all postal charges are now calculated on the size and weight of items being posted.
Standard and Priority delivery
With the introduction of SBP, Jersey Post also introduced more choice for local postage with Standard (three-day delivery) at 36p and Priority (next-day delivery) at 39p.
Non Value Indicator stamps (NVIs) – local delivery
Before SBP was introduced, stamps in the series below used to be sold for 37p and gave next-day delivery.

(Please note – earlier versions of NVIs may also be in circulation that are not featured here. The same principles will apply to these stamps.)
From 8 May 2010
To allow sufficient time to use up existing stocks, Jersey Post will honour the stamps above and all items posted with these stamps as postage will receive next-day delivery. This will be the case until 31 October 2010.
NVI's are a convenient way to pay for your postage but please make sure you apply the correct quantity to cover the cost of sending your item. For example:

Please note - Jersey NVIs used above are for illustrative purposes only. Please ensure that letters to the UK, IoM and other CI use UK Minimum postage paid stamps.
From 1 November 2010
The stamps above will continue to be charged at 36p but the service received will revert to Standard (three-day). Any customer wishing to use the Priority service will need to ensure that the correct postage amount is affixed.
NVI stamps - UK, IoM and other CI
Any current NVI stamps (as well as any previous versions) for these destinations will continue to be valid and from 8 May will cost 45p.
Definitive stamp issues
Jersey Post also has sets of definitive stamp issues that reflect the values of the new Size-based Pricing categories and the Standard and Priority services available to customers. Further information on these stamps can be found by clicking here.
