20.01.12 - Invitation to 'Visit Jersey'
Jersey Post was again delighted to join its fellow members of PostEurop in issuing stamps with a common theme – especially because it gave the opportunity to promote Jersey as a holiday destination. Other PostEurop members will be issuing their respective ‘Visit….’ stamps throughout the year.
The four beautiful stamps cover a wide range of reasons why people should choose Jersey as a holiday destination including good local produce and seafood, sports and sandy beaches, green tourism and conservation and a fascinating history that covers thousands of years.
Completing the stamp issue, the First Day Cover envelope features yachts and motor boats in St Aubin’s Harbour and the Presentation Pack provides an aerial view of Mont Orgueil and the Royal Bay of Grouville.
The stamps, issued on 10th January 2012, feature:
