Community services

Jersey Post is proud to be at the heart of island life and to support the community to which it delivers. From chosen charity support to discount schemes and community involvement, Jersey Post engages with the local community in many ways.

Call & Check is a service that has been developed by Jersey Post. It offers a regular visit to members of our community who would benefit from a bit of extra help and support.

Chosen charity

Each year, Jersey Post’s employees nominate and vote for a local, chosen charity to support for the year ahead. Since 2014, our members of staff have committed to and successfully managed to raise over £20,000 each year for the chosen organisation. This has been achieved through company-wide events and initiatives, team and individual activities including sky-diving, dress down days, the Great Jersey Post Bake Off and the infamous naked postie calendars! In 2019, Jersey Post is proud to support the JSPCA.

Community involvement

In addition to our annual chosen charity, Jersey Post is proud to support several local community events and sports. Our primary involvement is with Team Jersey, and we have been delighted to be the main sponsor of our talented athletes at both the 2015 and 2017 NatWest Island Games. Since the start of 2017, Jersey Post has also been the main sponsor for Jersey Cricket, a partnership that is set to span the next three years.

Discounted postage for charities

Jersey Post provides several discounts and services for locally based charities and not-for-profit organisations. Charities that are members of the Association of Jersey Charities can join our postage scheme that provides a 5% discount on the normal stamp price.

Every year, Jersey Post employees are asked to nominate a charity that they would like to see supported by the business for the calendar year. The charities with the most nominations are shortlisted, and the workforce vote for the winning charity. This process takes place in Q3 each year.
