Jersey Post’s Charity of the Year

Jersey Post raised over £16,850 for their 2025 Charity of the Year, Jersey Hospice Care.
Jersey Post has a charity committee made up of colleagues from across the business. Over the last year, the committee has hosted cake sales and bingo nights, volunteered in the Hospice garden at Mont Cochon and organised teams for many Hospice events such as the Dragon Boat Race, abseiling over Gorey Castle and the Santa Dash. Colleagues have also had the opportunity to donate via a salary sacrifice scheme and generous customers have also donated via cash tins in all Post Offices.
Cheri Strudwick, Director of Income Generation and Marketing from Jersey Hospice Care, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Jersey Post for choosing Jersey Hospice Care as their Charity of the Year for 2025 and for the enthusiasm, creativity and commitment they have shown throughout the partnership. Every activity has played a part in making a real difference for our patients and their families. Partnerships like this are vital to our work, and we cannot thank Jersey Post enough for their outstanding support.”

We’ve loved supporting Jersey Hospice and raising awareness of the vital work that they do. Thank you to all our colleagues and customers, who have so generously donated their time and money to help us reach our target.”
Jersey Post is delighted to announce that our Charity of the Year in 2026 is FOJO (Friends of Jersey Oncology), following a vote by colleagues.
FOJO works with the Hospital Oncology unit to make cancer patients treatment experience as easy as it can be. They provide tailored help and practical support to patients and their families, from the first diagnosis through to their treatment journey. The resources they provide ranges from care packages to wig vouchers, support with childcare and exercise and nutrition programmes.
Jersey Post will be using JerseyGiving to fundraise for FOJO. This is a dedicated fundraising platform designed for local charities on the island. Through the platform, you can make donations online, start monthly contributions or pay in your fundraising efforts. If you pay income tax in Jersey, you can benefit from the Jersey Gift Support scheme, which adds 25p for every £1 you donate to registered charities.
Customers will find QR codes in Post Offices, linking through to JerseyGiving where they can donate to FOJO.
