The European Union is making changes to customs duties on low-value online purchases. From 1 July 2026, items worth less than €150 will no longer be free from customs duty.
Instead, most items will be charged a flat fee of €3. Some countries may also add an extra handling fee. If a package contains more than one item, €3 will be charged per HS code. For example, if you send three different items together, the total duty will be €9.
This duty will be paid by the recipient upon delivery by the relevant postal service in Europe - with the exception of Austria, Denmark and Germany. We will therefore be suspending post to these countries until there is a technical solution in place to charge duties upfront.
Gifts with a value up to €45 are unaffected.
From November 2026 further EU changes will come into effect, and we will need to charge duties and fees up front before sending an item.
We are actively working with industry experts and our partners to ensure that we are able to provide the most up to date information and relevant guidance.

Update: EU Courier service ends 18 June
The EU are making changes to customs regulations that significantly increase the complexity of the customs declaration process for courier parcels. As a result of the complex customs changes being made in the EU, we can no longer offer a courier service to EU destinations. The last posting date for our courier service to the EU is 18th June 2026.
