Online Postage

No. The postage labels that our online service produces are only for single use. They have built in tracking numbers that are read and recognised by our sorting machines which will detect labels that have been copied and used multiple times.

Yes, the labels that are produced from our online postage system need to be used within 48 hours of printing.

They can be applied using glue or sellotape, but please do not sellotape over any of the barcodes. Sellotape makes it difficult for our machines to read the important codes and could result in a delay to your mail being  processed and made ready for despatch.

Once you've securely and correctly affixed the postage label to your item there are a number of ways you can get it to us, either:

  • Drop it in to any of our post offices around the island
  • Post it in a letterbox providing it will fit; or
  • Have it collected as part of a scheduled Business Collect service (only available to business customers)

If you are interested in registering for a Business Collect service please click here for more information.

Yes you can! Use our online postage tool to buy and print your postage label, then simply affix it to your item and drop it in to one of our Post Offices, or if its fits a Post Box. Remember, if you're sending Goods or Merchandise you also need to attach the relevant customs form.

By buying postage online, you benefit from a 2% discount. It is the simplest and most convenient way to buy postage as there is no need to visit and queue at the post office.

Driven by Universal Postal Union (UPU) regulatory changes, anyone sending parcels to the UK or internationally must provide electronic pre-advice customs information. This includes information on the sender, the recipient, and the details of the contents within the parcel. For more information, click here.

We have printing machines at all our post offices, which means you can still use our online postage portal to create your postage labels. Visit any post office and show one of our counter staff the label and barcode number. They will then print the label instore for you to affix to your parcel. To purchase your label online please start here.

Please note that these printers are only for printing postage labels that have been purchased using our online postage portal. If you wish to print labels from Amazon and other retailers that are not a Jersey Post returns partner, you can print these at Rue des Pres and Broad Street. You can view our full list of returns partners here.

No, unfortunately we are unable to refund online postage once you've processed the order and the label has been produced. We strongly recommend that you check your postage summary before completing payment, to ensure the postage and recipient details are correct.
