Receiving mail

Delivery aims for mail coming into the Island are as follows:

  • Royal Mail First Class and Special Delivery items are delivered within two working days following date of receipt at our Jersey depot.
  • Royal Mail Second Class items are delivered within three working days following date of receipt at our Jersey depot.
  • We have a parcel delivery service on a Saturday to steady the weeks work load.

All items that arrive on the evening boat, are processed the following day, for delivery the next working day.

Although we deliver most parcels in Jersey, there are other companies operating on the island who won't have access to your Jersey Post Locker or SecureDrop information.

If you believe Jersey Post has mis-delivered your mail, please contact customercare@jerseypost.com who will investigate this claim.

 

Your Postie will issue a missed delivery note explaining why your item couldn't be delivered. To receive your mail, You can either collect your parcel from Rue Des Pres Parcel collection depot or organise a Redelivery.

Collecting your item from Rue Des Pres:

  • You will need to bring the missed delivery note as well as your photo ID - if someone is collecting your item on behalf of you, they will need their ID as well as yours.
  • Your item will be made ready for collection the following working day (including Saturdays). Our opening hours can be found here.

Organising a Redelivery:

  • Arrange to have your item redelivered to you address or Broad Street Post Office here. You can choose a date which works for you.
  • You will need to quote the barcode number starting with JPCA found on your missed delivery note.

You can avoid this happening by setting up a SecureDrop at a safe location on your property if possible.

The easiest way to sign up to SecureDrop is through your Online Account:

  1. Login to your online account.
  2. Select SecureDrop under services.
  3. Complete the online form.
  4. You will get an email to confirm the set up of your service.

Alternatively, you can obtain an application form from any Post Office and sign up at there.

The easiest way to set up a Mail Redirection is through your Online Account:

  1. Login to your Online Account.
  2. Select Mail Redirection under services.
  3. Complete the online form and payment.
  4. Email redirectionofmail@jerseypost.com with a copy of your photo ID (driver's license or passport) and proof of your old address dated within the last three months (utility bill or bank statement).
  5. You will get an email to confirm your application - it can take up to 10 days for the service to be put in place.

Alternatively, you can obtain an application form from any Post Office and sign up at there.

  3. Complete the online form and payment.
  4. Email customercare@jerseypost.com with a copy of your photo ID (driver's license or passport) and proof of your address dated within the last three months (utility bill or bank statement).
  5. You will get an email to confirm your application - it can take up to 10 days for the service to be put in place

No. Your mail will be delivered on the day you have requested as part of the service.

We are not currently taking sign ups to our 24/7 Parcel Lockers.

Yes. ship2me lets you send items to a UK address which is then forwarded on to your Jersey address.

To get started;

  1. Register for a ship2Me account. Once your account is set up, you'll get a unique customer ID and UK delivery address.
  2. Order from your favourite retailers using unique customer ID and UK delivery address at checkout.
  3. Book your delivery through ship2me and they'll ensure your item makes it from the UK to you Channel Island home.

When insufficient postage is applied at the time of posting, Jersey Post will apply a surcharge that covers the cost of putting the item through the postal system.

If a surcharge is applied, it is the mail recipient who pays the postage shortfall at the point of delivery, if they wish to receive the item.
